Funding

Recently my research on the Tehuacan Valley of Puebla, Mexico received funding from both the National Science Foundation and the Wenner-Gren Foundation. These grants will primarily go towards funding stable isotope analyses of human and animal bones from previous excavations, and for AMS radiocarbon dating of human bones.

I used several resources to help with my proposal writing. For the Wenner-Gren, the comments and tips provided by former WG president, Dr. Leslie Aiello were extremely helpful.

I also had several great examples of successfully funded grants that were provided by mentors, colleagues, and friends. These were great guides and models during the writing process. If it will help anyone else in the future, I am providing copies of my recently funded proposals. Good luck!
